Undoubtedly up-to-date!

Have you ever heard of this marvellous professional dancing machine - an invention which has recently revolutionized the market of entertainment?? Or maybe you have even challenged yourself and tried dancing on it?? We have. And we came to the conclusion that it's great fun but also an extremely tiring physical exercise.

The machine consists of the pad with eight arrows which have to be pressed the way shown on the screen and to the rhythm of music which you can choose from the wide variety of well-known songs.

This form of spending time is considered to be extremely beneficial. Not only is it an easy, quick and pleasant way of losing weight but also a golden opprtunity to enjoy ourselves with the group of friends. What's more the pleasure can be found in laughing at each other and any success might be a factor likely to boost our self- esteem.

All in all, dancing on the machine is the source of great sensations. Trust us - it is an unforgettable experience and you certainly have to try it!

HAVE FUN!!!

You know that feeling, when everything is Just going the wrong way and the one and only thing you would like to do is chill out somewhere where no one can find you. A place, where you can relax watching good movies, drinking some fabulous tea or coffee. Well, there is such a place in Olsztyn. It’s an old cinema (it was built in 1910) in the center of the Old Town. Awangarda (that’s the name of the place) is not only a typical cinema café. It’s a MM cinema café. Which means no less than a Marilyn Monroe’s café. You can find photos of her everywhere in that place, even the coffees have names like Some Like It Hot, or The Seven Year Itch (after the MM’s films). Oh, I wish there were more places like that in Olsztyn…

The men who stare at goats

Characters

George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges, Robert Patrick, Rebecca Mader, Stephen Lang, Stephen Root.

Plot:

A man, Bob Wilton, (played by Ewan McGregor) is abandoned by his wife and she breaks his heart. He decides to go to Irak to work. Then he meets Lyn Cassady (George Clooney). He explains that he was a psychological soldier, a secret commando group in the army of USA. They use paranormal powers in their missions. The corruption changes the commando in order to do wrong things. Bob gets involved in the commando of USA army. He becomes a psychological soldier.

Cristina’s Opinion:

This is a terrible bad film. This is a insult to the USA army when soldiers used to smoke drugs and had a very infantile and stupid behaviour. I don’t recommend it to you.

Irene’s Opinion:

This film is very boring. I thought the film would be better because the actors are very famous. Kevin Spacey is a very good actor but in this film I didn’t like him. The same as Cristina, I think this film is very bad.

Other people’s Opinions:

The opinios are very different. Someone says the film is good but some others says it’s bad and boring.

Seventh festival of soup of the world

Yesterday March 21, the seventh festival of soups of the world was held in our neighborhood. It is a festival created by entities participating in the neighborhood where people from all countries and continents of the world have the possibility of showing and tasting soups from Bulgaria, Africa, Peru, Catalonia and many more.

There has been a circus workshop for children where they were taught juggling, tightrope exercises...

This meeting served to exchange cultures through soups from different places, and prevent racism.

You can also highlight any special soup as the "cold soup" created by a very creative person who has made traditional tomato soup in a tomato cream ball with ornament! I must say that it surprised me a lot.

They have shown innovative ideas such as how to heat a soup pot with solar energy. In the picture the mechanism by which this idea works is shown: mirrors reflect the sun into the pot where the food is.

In conclusion, it is a very original party where you can learn a lot of culture and above all to cook!

Flamenco: Typical music in Spain

Flamenco is a Spanish music and dance that originated in Andalusia in the eighteenth century

My favourite part of Flamenco is the Spanish Guitar.

In Spain, the man or woman who plays Flamenco with the Spanish guitar is called “Tocaor”(male) and “Tocaora”(female), which is a modified word in Spanish and the literal meaning is “toucher”, but it actually means player. The person who sings flamenco is a “Cantaor” or “Cantaora” and the person who dances Flamenco is a “Bailaor”

A good “Tocaor” was Paco de Lucía, and the most famous song was “Entre dos aguas” and this song was the “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” OST. If you want listen to it, click here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuIFpvUOuQw

A good “Cantaor” was the mytichal Camaron de la Isla and I think that his most famous song is “Volando voy” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0-ED4e-r-U&feature=related. It’s an old video but I think that is better, because we can see the singer.

With friends!

On Saturday, some friends and I went to Cosmobelleza. The Cosmobelleza is an international exhibition of beauty located in Gran Via, that is only celebrated once a year. It has many shops related with beauty, nails, hair, makeup, creams, hairdressing, etc. and has different shows, promoting clothes, hair plates, made up people, etc. We spent the day there and we got a nail tip of demonstration, yes yes only one nail! We had a great afternoon and later we met other people.

Ski jumping

Sport I like the most is ski jumping. Why I like ski jumping? Because it is interesting, exciting, unpredictable and watching it makes me happy.

I started watching and enjoying it when I was at primary school, about 8 years ago. There were many people and my friends crazy about ski jumping (I think because of our Polish ski jumper - Adam Małysz who always won), so I also watched it. Firstly I was cheering on Adam Małysz and our Polish team. I was small so I didn’t exactly know the rules, names of ski jumpers and coaches, but I liked it very much. While I was watching, I was learning new things about ski jumping. Now I still watch ski jumping and I think I know something about it. I like our Polish ski jumpers – Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch, but I also like Austria team very much.

Adam Małysz

Now I’m going to tell you something about it. Ski jumping is a sport in which skiers go down a take-off ramp, jump, and land the furthest on the hill below. Also judges give points for style. The best is who receives the most points and jumps the furthest. I think ski jumping isn’t very fair sport. Because of the weather conditions like wind, snow. But it make ski jumping so special. Till the end nobody know what will happen. It is a winter sport, performed on snow, but can also be performed in summer, but there must be special conditions. There are a few ski jumping competitions, but the most popular is World Cup. It is also part of the Winter Olympic Games. Ski jumpers are mainly men, but women also can be ski jumpers and take part in competitions for women. Ski jumpers mainly are from Austria, Norway, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Japan, Poland and Switzerland and there are hills and competitions take place. The World Cup and Summer Grand Prix take place also in Poland in Zakopane. The atmosphere is great, I heard. One of my dreams is to visit Zakopane and see competition in the flesh.

Zakopane, Poland

And you? Have you ever heard about ski jumping? Do you like it? I think our Norwegian friends could tell us something about it ;) I hope now you know what is ski jumping and you would watch or read about it in the future.

Snow in Nou Barris

Yesterday, day 8, snow in barcelona. The most impressive thing was that not what we expected. Days before he had done enough sun and don’t cold. In class everyone was glad to see snow in our neighborhood because, in Barcelona is not very common for snow. After school at lunch time, everyone was very excited and it went very well and enjoying throwing balls of snow that fell from the sky. At first no one had thought that the snow would stay on the ground, but the surprise was when the whole the ground, trees, cars, people everything was covered with snow. There were enough problems for people who had to return to Barcelona and could not because the roads and public transport many were stuck in the snow. In the end, we had a very good day. All the children playing in the snow with friends, you could say it was a very special day.

Park Güell

Park Güell :is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".

Colonnaded pathway where the road projects out from the hillside, with the vaulting forming a retaining wall which curves over to support the road, and transmits the load onto sloping columns.

SAGRADA FAMILIA

The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família ,often simply called the Sagrada Família, is a massive, privately-funded Roman Catholic church that has been under construction in Barcelona, since 1882 and is not expected to be complete until at least 2026. A portion of the building's interior is scheduled to open for public worship and tours by September 2010.

Antoni Gaudí worked on the project from 1883 and devoted the last fifteen years of his life entirely to the endeavour. In 1882, prior to Gaudí's involvement, Francesc del Villar was commissioned to design a church on the site. He resigned a year later and Gaudí was appointed the project architect, redesigning the project entirely. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

Spring, come here!

Outside the window there is still the snow lieing. We can't stand this any more!
WE WANT SPRING!
This time in Poland the weather is terrible. It's raining, no sun, a lot of wind.... That makes as terribly sad, lazy and not sociable. We want our dreams of spring come true. Please!
We have to wear blouses, wellingtons, jackets. After 5 months of wearing them we just honestly hate them!
The view of the spring is like dream that will never come true...
