TIPS FOR WRITING ON A BLOG II:

TIPS RELATED TO FORM:
-Don’t write excessively long posts
-Do not deal with more than one topic in a post
-Use medium or big size types.
-Use Garamond or Trebuchet which are friendlier on the screen than Arial or Times.
-Think about the purpose of your writing and be as clear as possible.
-Make a plan for your writing.
-Divide your text in paragraphs separated by double space.
-Take your audience into account and use the appropriate register: you write differently whether you are addressing your friends or your family or your teachers etc…
-Blogging is not texting on your mobile or writing quickly on a mail format. Your style can be informal but has to respect communicative rules.
-Respect spelling and punctuation rules. Use a spellchecker and have your text corrected before editing.
-Write a first draft. Redraft, revise, proofread before editing.
-Use hypertext to complete or expand your ideas.
-If you want to create debate in the community of bloggers, end you writing with a question or a problem-like structure.
-If you are expressing facts, summarize the main contents of your writing in the last paragraph to make yourself clear.
-Do not give too much information (facts, links etc) or you risk discouraging your reader.
-Use relevant images, video, slide presentations or podcasts to make your writing more entertaining.
ENJOY BLOGGING!!!!!!!
