WINTER HOLIDAYS IN POLAND
Since winter holidays in Poland have finished recently, we'd like to present the most popular ways of spending this time in our country.
As probably all over the world the most frequently practiced winter activities are skiing and snowboarding. Not only is it possible for Polish people to do these sports in the mountains and thus taking advantage of professional ski-lifts and equipment as well as relishing the wonderful atmosphere of this place but also they can master their skills in these fields of life without leaving the area. The routes here are not so diversified and the ski-lifts not so modern, however people on the slopes seem to enjoy their time equally.
The next winter activity adored by crowds is ice-skating. Although it is not as extreme as the previous ones, it doesn't require so much practice and experience, the equipment is cheaper and ice-rinks more easily available.
Finally, the activities like sleighing or sleigh rides are also quite popular, especially among young children and although they are considered the source of entertainment rather than sports, we will also associate them with winter holidays.
And you, how do you spend your winter holidays?

TANA, my pet
Dear friends,
In Barcelona some of us also have pets at home. Some of them are quite original, as the one you see on this post. He is TANA, a ferret. He's very quiet and clean although its smell can be a little bit ofensive for some people. I used to have another one, TOBY, but he died last year and the whole family were really sad.
Does anybody else have a ferret at home?

Weekend
It was the first time that I went skiing, and I fell a lot at the beginning but not at the end. At 5 pm we were very tired and we went back home.
The Carnival !
Carnival in the school
Last Friday we celebrated the carnival in the school. We organized different activities like football, basket, cinema, strategy games… and also had a contest for the people that wanted to wear fancy dresses where Irene and I participated! She wore a sun dress and I wore a moon dress. At the end, we won the third prize!
Carnival in the street
I also particiated in the street Carnival on Friday evening and on Saturday with my best friend, MªAngeles. On Friday we wore workers’ dresses but the people confused us with mechanics. We were very embarrassed because we were the only persons that wore fancy dresses in our group, but on Saturday it was different. MªAngeles and I changed our dressers for cooks’ disguisses! My friends wore footballers dresses, dead bodies… We had music, dance and a small spectacle in the street.
